It's been a week.......

It's been a week since my last blog. Can you believe that I have family emailing me that it's been too long and that I need to update it? Such family peer pressure!

I have a few blog stories to share, but I usually like to put picture with them, so it's not so boring to read. So I was doing some behind the scenes prep work....and was planning on posting when I got some time. So other stories are in the works.

So in the mean time, to satisfy the "family boss cows" (you know who you are) I'll just post what's been going on in the past few days.....

Saturday, April 12th: I attended the baptism of two of my Primary children. Landon came with me. Then we went grocery shopping, not at Walmart. I avoid Walmart on Saturdays! I'm really not liking going grocery shopping lately...I'm pretty sure it's because I feel like I spend a fortune at the store. It really bites! Can someone tell the gas people that we're really struggling here!!!! hellooooo??? Enough already.

Saturday night we watched Bourne Supremacy. We've been on a "Bourne" movie kick watching the series. We have Bourne Ultimatum waiting, but can't seem to find a time when we are all together lately! Hopefully this weekend.

Sunday, April 13th: Church was great! I had sharing time and put together a time line of President Monson. It was perfect time to learn about him as General Conference was the prior weekend. That afternoon/evening we went to our good friends, The Deckers, to visit and have dinner. It was great to see them and visit. We played a dice game called "Olaley." They recently had a new addition to their family, a little boy named Jack. It was like old times to see them again. We enjoy their company so much and miss them terribly as our neighbors.

Monday, April 14th: I took the day off of work as it was spring break for my boys. We also planned a day at my sister, Annie's house, to plan the upcoming Cuzin's Kamp! The parents are involved this year. It's quite an ordeal to get the family together anymore with work schedules and family commitments! However, we managed and enjoyed the day planning, visiting and hugging on my newest niece, Charlee. My days off go by so fast.............

We returned home in time to get Josh to and from his trombone lessons. Too tired to figure out what to make for dinner, so we ordered pizza. Matt was in a distance mountain trying to find some desperate "air time". Crazy thing was - that we were able to watch him launch from our back yard with some help from a pair of binoculars! So we enjoyed pizza and watched Matt fly high above the mountains in our back yard! How cool is that? Tuesday, April 15th: Off to work! It was a busy day as I went to a motivating seminar called "Maximizing People's Potential" that was offered during the lunch hour. It was pretty entertaining as the gentleman shared humorous stories. I then met with the Dean's office to plan our budget for the 08/09 academic year. Wow...didn't 2008 just begin? That took up the rest of my work day and then I was off to home to be the taxi driver for the rest of the afternoon. Both Tanner and Josh had piano lessons. Landon had a soccer game....and then the boys went off to Mutual, while I stayed home and enjoyed watching American Idol. =) Gooooo David A! Spent the rest of the evening putting together the schedule for Cuzin's Kamp. OH...and happy (or sad) Tax day and Darin's b-day!

Wednesday, April 16th: Back to work! It was another busy day, but mostly filled with organizing payroll for our upcoming Lyric Repertory season. Takes a lot behind the scenes to get it all straightened out. We are also bringing in out-of-state candidates for interviews for a Movement/Dance type position at the Theatre. After work I had a visiting teaching appointment with a sweet young sister, who is preparing for a mission. We always enjoy our visits with her. Once at home, the dreaded thought...."what's for dinner?" always seems to haunt me. So I managed to throw together a bowl of homemade chicken noodle soup. It was a good choice as Josh seems to be a little under the weather. Matt was off to his Wednesday night weekly 7pm meeting and I was off to a "kick-off" marching band meeting for 08/09 season. I had all three boys with me. Josh drove us...and we arrived safely. He is getting better at this driving thing or I'm getting more tough - one of the two! This year I will be heavily involved with the boys marching band as it will be good preparation as I take the "helm" as Band Mom for 09/10 season. Tanner has finally agreed to give marching band a try this year. I was happy to hear it. =) I will be heading up the garage sale fundraiser for the band in June. Start saving your stuff --- family!! We've got two boys to pay fees for this year! We got home kinda late and I missed who was kicked off American Idol so I immediately went to the Internet to find out! Didn't take long to find it! Felt good about the choice and off to bed.

THAT brings us to today! April 17, 2008 -Thursday. Right now...I'm just listening to the Carpenters and loving the whole world (except the price of gas). What is it about Carpenter music that makes you love everyone? Maybe I should send a CD to the gas people.
