I'm honored to be a Mom

I need to share one of the sweet letters from Tanner that I received on Mother's Day. It was a fill in the blank letter in typical Tanner style.

You are special because: You always do my laundry and make me dinner.

My favorite thing about you is: That you are nice and make me food.

Thank you for: NOT throwing me out on the street to let me die.

Earlier in the day (Mother's Day) I was working on a sewing project. Landon showed interest in learning how to use the sewing machine. I took a few minutes to show him how to make a 1/4" seam. He worked on some scrap material and I headed up to finish making dinner. In that short amount of time he whipped out the cutest stuffed heart that he secretly had made. I was very impressed that he was able to design his own pattern. I personally enjoyed the point of the heart where he found himself "stuck" not knowing how to finish the project. I do have to give him credit as we didn't get to that point in the teaching process!

That's tomorrow's lesson......

Designers Christian Dior and Valentino better watch out........
